By the end of the activity the learner should be able to:

  • Describe key clinical features that differentiate major neurodegenerative disease
  • Discuss the effects of anti-dementia drug therapies on symptoms and course of neurodegenerative diseases
  • Recommend lifestyle modifications that may influence the symptoms and course of neurodegenerative diseases
  • Apply current guidelines for dementia diagnosis and management in practice settings
  • Overcome linguistic barriers and cultural beliefs in the diagnosis of AD
